Lewatit® K 1000 U SO4 is a macroporous, strongly basic, type-1 anion exchange resin with beads of an uniform size (monodisperse). It is especially developed for the extraction of uranium from process solutions containing sulfuric acid. The high degree of crosslinking of its polystyrene-DVB coploymer matrix results in a
remarkable resistance towards osmotic and mechanical stress as it can occur during metal recovery processes. Thus it is particularly suited for resin-in-pulp (RIP) applications.

Lewatit® K 1000 U SO4 can be applied in:

  • The extraction of uranium from sulphuric acid containing leach liquors and pulps
  • The removal of anionic heavy metals complexes from aqueous streams
  • The recovery of noble metals, e.g. chloro-, cyano or thiosulfato complexes
